EVOLUTION OF CALL

It is a fact that CALL program actually has started since 1960, but after learning about the evolution of CALL program, I noticed a very big differences between the CALL program back then and the CALL program nowadays. Back then before its only focusing on transferring the content from the textbook itself into audio form itself. It's basically the same thing but in different form.

• according to the history CALL program is divided into three phase which is :

•  As the phase which is the behavioristic CALL, I personally thinks that it actually do help students in term of increasing the skills in memorising. It is because in this program, it use the repetition method. As we all know, the more we repeat, the easier we remember things.
• Next, it comes to the communicative CALL. This phase is can be said more to be the students centred. It focus more on students performance. Because of this the learning can be more entertaining and fun for the students as it emphasise on their involvement. This will lead towards students focus more on the learning itself.
• Lastly is the integrative CALL. It is the CALL program that we used nowadays. This can be said as the best CALL program for now as in it is the latest CALL program. This program also mostly related to the Internet that makes it one of the real world materials that allowed the learners to have a greater scope in learning aspect.

CONCLUSION

What I can say that that actually CALL program had go through a very good growth in term of the addition of the features to the program itself. It developed into a program that helped a lot of students nowadays.
