PODCAST...yeay or nay??

hello everyone, first of all let me say this. i kinda like doing podcast even though the level of cringiness when you hear your own voice after recording you know. But above all its a good experience knowing that i can make someone listen to me and at the same time giving out knowledge to other people. As you know we are living in the world where not everyone as lucky as us to read some of us cannot do that. Not because that they are lazy or what but its just they can't. You now what i mean right. By doing podcast I feel like i can share something with someone who can't. Now my opinion is out of the way lets talk about my experience in doing podcast.

1. I never use audacity!!!!

I freak out at first because it seems so hard to use it at first. Then I go back and start to find out what is audacity is. It's not an easy job you know, but i manage to do it at last. I learned that audacity helps in a lot of thing regarding audio and after using it for some times, well i can say that it keep getting easier. I am proud of myself.

2. Then it come to sound cloud where i upload my podcast.

I have used soundcloud before but never once I upload anything. So, it is a quite an experience I can say.

3. And then, here you go my mona lisa podcast comes out!!!!

Its the fourth topics already and this week we learned about the search engine and the online database. Mostly from this topic what I really get is that there's actually a lot of search engines existed and some of it I myself don't really know it that much, some of it I don't really knew existed.

Other than that, what I can get from this topic is we also do have the specialized search engines that can gives out the result on specific field that we want such as the google scholar that help the students to actually find the article that is academic related.

3.0 CALL GROWS🌿🌿

EVOLUTION OF CALL

It is a fact that CALL program actually has started since 1960, but after learning about the evolution of CALL program, I noticed a very big differences between the CALL program back then and the CALL program nowadays. Back then before its only focusing on transferring the content from the textbook itself into audio form itself. It's basically the same thing but in different form.

• according to the history CALL program is divided into three phase which is :

•  As the phase which is the behavioristic CALL, I personally thinks that it actually do help students in term of increasing the skills in memorising. It is because in this program, it use the repetition method. As we all know, the more we repeat, the easier we remember things.
• Next, it comes to the communicative CALL. This phase is can be said more to be the students centred. It focus more on students performance. Because of this the learning can be more entertaining and fun for the students as it emphasise on their involvement. This will lead towards students focus more on the learning itself.
• Lastly is the integrative CALL. It is the CALL program that we used nowadays. This can be said as the best CALL program for now as in it is the latest CALL program. This program also mostly related to the Internet that makes it one of the real world materials that allowed the learners to have a greater scope in learning aspect.

CONCLUSION

What I can say that that actually CALL program had go through a very good growth in term of the addition of the features to the program itself. It developed into a program that helped a lot of students nowadays.

2.0 WHAT IS CALL ACTUALLY IS? DO IT HELP?

Children nowadays is no longer the same as the children back then in 90's. They are exposed to a lot of things especially with the existence of INTERNET. They can get any information they want from there. So that's the sole reason i think the application such as CALL was built. it can ensure that the children stays interested in learning and did not get bored. They prefer something animated and more vibrant and colorful compared to the plain and inanimate like text book even though i still think that the best way to learn is by reading (my personal preference though!).

So CALL actually the best way to keep them interested. But what exactly call is??

Other than call there is a few things that can be considered as a very helpful medium in language learning and it is call the generic software. We usually didn't think that they will be a great help but sure they are!!

GENERIC SOFTWARE 

• MICROSOFT WORD

• MICROSOFT POWER POINT

• MICROSOFT EXCEL

Next, the usage of the Internet as such WIKIPEDIA, ONLINE DICTIONARY and all of things related also can be a very helpful and from my personal point of view it really do help because its fast and easy. Nobody refuse fast and easy thing don't we?

Nowadays we also do have the CMC which is the computer mediated communication. Back then when the Internet was newly introduced to us there is the forum and all but it is rarely used as its develop, a lot of people start using it as in it is simpler and a lot more easier. As I said earlier nobody can refuse easy thing right?

  

    

If you are wondering what CMC is....It is the medium of communication that we used such as the

•  Messenger, Whatsapp (synchronous - instant reply)
• Email (asynchronous - delayed reply)

Lastly, what I can actually say that through the years, computer and its content had help us a lot in term of doing our work, assignment, learning, teaching and a lot more but we do have to remember that not all the things in this world can be done by computers. No matter how great they are they still cannot comes out with a new idea, they are just what human want them to be.....
